#4 – West Mountain Falls (Carrabassett Valley)

West Mountain Falls is located near the Sugarloaf Mountain Golf Course. Enter the Sugarloaf Mountain access road and follow directions to the golf course. Just before the parking lot to the course, there are a few places to park on the right. Cross the street and head down the 0.3 mile trail by the golf course and along the South Branch Carrabassett River.

The hike is super easy and features a few spots to enter the river and take a dip. Once at the falls, you can view from the top or even jump in the pool at the bottom. The water is cold coming off the mountains, but worth the dip on a hot summer day!
