Hey Justin, Take a Hike
A few might be wondering what Justin is marrying into, since his passions are so pronounced and displayed. His love of beer, Marvel, and basketball are so easy to pick up on. Mine not so much.
One of the biggest things that Justin is marrying into is my love of the outdoors, more specifically hiking. He does love the outdoors, but has yet to fully embrace and explore what the outdoors has to offer.
To kick things off after we started dating, I took Justin to Camden Hills State Park’s Mount Megunticook ocean lookout. Easily one of my favorite spots, an simple and fun hike with great view. I highly recommend going! It’s 2.8 miles and takes about 2 hours. The easy hike allows for plenty of time to explore Camden when you are finished and stop by the Camden Deli, of course.
Since our first hike, we’ve been to a few other spots including, Borestone Mountain, The Orono Bog Boardwalk and for hikes at our camp in Parkman, Maine. Though we haven’t done as much hiking as I’ve wanted or have planned. I believe this hobby is something that will grow overtime.
We have a few hikes planned for our honeymoon in Arizona this summer. Excited to explore new places together.
Now, as we go on our random car rides during this social distancing time, I point out places we could hike along the way. With a little convincing, warm weather approaching, and with more time on our hands, I expect many hiking adventures with Justin.
